MERSETA
The National Certificate: Management - Stores and Warehousing provides a framework for learners to develop competencies that will enable them to become competent junior managers, supervisors and team leaders. It introduces the same theoretical concepts, skills and application as the National Certificate: Management with four specialisation areas encompassing the use of stores and warehousing in operations; the role of materials handling in the warehouse; the role of stocktaking in ensuring inventory accuracy and a deeper understanding of the functions of the purchasing cycle.
This programme is targeted at learners who are currently in or to be trained to eventually fulfil junior management positions in an organisation, specifically in the stores, warehousing and logistics departments. Junior management includes, but is not limited to team leaders, supervisors, first line managers, section heads and first level of management in an organisation at which an employee has other employees reporting to him/her.
