The purpose of this course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to maintain effective communication and relationships in the workplace. This course focuses on strategies to improve workplace relationships and minimise interpersonal conflict. It covers communication skills such as leading discussions, chairing meetings, writing workplace reports, and delivering oral presentations. Emotional intelligence which is a vital development area for effective leadership communication is also covered in this course.

 

The qualified learner will be able to:

  • Devise and apply strategies to establish and maintain workplace relationships with managers and colleagues
  • Identify and deal with conflict situations
  • Use communication techniques such as written reports, meetings and oral presentations effectively
  • Apply the principles and concepts of emotional intelligence in the workplace
  • Evaluate and improve their own emotional intelligence
